The high voltage line corresponds to a private line belonging to Minera Los Pelambres.
THE PROJECT
The project consists of the gradual migration of the old line monitoring system and meteorological stations that were in obsolescence, therefore, several stages of integration were considered. It was necessary to rehabilitate parts of the old USI Power Donut system, and integrate them together with new OTLM sensors and all weather stations, all in one ICONICS brand electrical SCADA platform.
The project is based on the rehabilitation and gradual migration of the old monitoring system based on the USI Power Donut line sensors., where the software was out of date, some line sensors were in poor condition and the weather stations needed to be replaced. The communication architecture is based on the use of cellular communication gprs.
The implementation of the new meteorological stations is based on the use of the Lufft brand meteorological polisensor and the use of the Campbell RTU, which comes integrated with a gprs modem:
Design and implementation with a minimum of equipment allows consumption inside the cabinet to be minimal, so its implementation for autonomous power requires a small photovoltaic panel and small 12Ah batteries.
Además, replacement was made 3 line sensors, using our represented OTLM, which also have a built-in gprs modem for cellular communication, where the migration plan considers the replacement of all equipment in the medium term.
The implementation of the electrical SCADA system of the ICONICS brand required several stages of development to achieve the incorporation of both the old and new line sensors., along with weather stations. The Scada allows the user to navigate and visualize each tower and sensors in an interactive 3D schematic., in addition to viewing historical charts.
